Contracts
Sport, culture & leisure
Public sector contract notices in sport, culture & leisure, from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.
Recreational, cultural and sporting services: CPV division 92 with sports equipment installation. Leisure centre and pool operation, sports development and coaching, arts, museums, libraries and heritage, events, and the management of parks, pitches and cultural venues.
Councils and their leisure trusts are the main buyers, and the work divides into two quite different things: long operating concessions for a building, which only a large operator or a trust will bid for, and the much smaller programme work around them, which is where coaches, clubs, artists and small delivery organisations come in. Social value and participation targets carry real weight in the scoring here, more so than in most categories. Community interest companies and charities compete alongside commercial firms, and the notice will say whether the contract is reserved.
