Laboratory & precision equipment
Public sector contract notices in laboratory & precision equipment, from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.
Laboratory, optical, measuring and precision instruments, and their installation: CPV division 38 with the related installation codes. Analytical and testing instruments, microscopes and imaging, surveying and navigation equipment, monitoring and metering devices, and the service contracts that follow them.
Universities, NHS trusts, research institutes, regulators and testing laboratories are the buyers, and a notice is frequently for a specific instrument with a maintenance and calibration contract attached, which is where the longer term value sits. Because the requirement is technical, the specification is often written around what the buyer already owns; a supplier who can read that early saves the cost of a bid that could not have been won. Manufacturers and their authorised distributors compete here on much the same terms.
