Cleaning, waste & environmental
Public sector contract notices in cleaning, waste & environmental, from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.
Cleaning, waste and environmental services: CPV division 90. Building and specialist cleaning, waste collection, treatment and disposal, recycling, street cleansing, sewerage and drainage, and environmental monitoring and remediation.
Cleaning contracts turn on staffing rather than equipment, and two things in the notice usually decide whether a bid is realistic: the hours and cover the buyer requires, and whether staff transfer under TUPE from an existing provider. Where TUPE applies the buyer should provide employee liability information, and it changes both the cost and the risk of taking the contract on. Waste and environmental work is more often licensed and permit-dependent, so check what the notice requires you to hold before spending time on it.
